The gold dragon has taken many human forms over the years in his games. His last game ended in “death.” But when the human he’d befriended in his last game summons him, both are surprised. Mikhail can’t unsee his dead friend Adrian in the dragon, while the dragon feigns ignorance, agreeing to help Mikhail find Adrian’s body. While pondering his past lives, the dragon lingers on memories with Mikhail at the academy. But Mikhail isn’t the only one from a past game to catch up with him.
